Hey everyone! About two years ago a friend convinced me buy a 4x4 to join him at the Oregon Gambler 500, which is how I found my 1999 Discovery I SD on Craigslist for $600. The car ran when I bought it and the only major issue was a missing drivers side headlight that I assume was lost in a minor fender bender. After some mild hammering and bending, I was able to replace the headlight as well as a few other body parts and over the next year or so took the Disco on many weekend trips through the Cascades and the Olympic peninsula. I've put about 5000 miles on the car since I've had it and its never failed to get me where we need to go. Last year I moved to Northern Virginia which is where I'm currently located. Everyone here has been enormously helpful with some of the various issues/quirks that have popped up and hopefully I'll be able to pay some of it forward.
