I was looking for a DII for a couple of months or so and just before Thanksgiving I came across a CL post for a 99, 117K runs but needs a starter - $1100. I called about it, the guy told me he is a wholesaler and bought it from a CT auction 1-1/2 years ago drove it to Long Island, he wanted to put a new front bumper on it and flip it. He never did. He wanted to sell it to make room. He tried to start it and smoked the starter.

So, I decided to take a look at it. The interior and body were clean and the starter just clicked. I mentioned to him that I was looking for a 7 passenger version. Then he said he has a 00 that has the 7 pass option at his house that his daughter used to drive, the only problem is that the transfer case is stuck in low. So, we take a look at it. It has ACE, SLS, sunroofs, winter package. He said $2500 for both. So, I picked up both of them for $2500 delivered to my house.

I haven't looked at the the 99 yet. I still have to replace the starter to see if I can get it running and sell it.

I 00 is registered and on the road. The transfer case issue was easily resolved. Initially I thought it was the solenoid. It was easier than that. When the shifter was in neutral, the indicator light didn't light a small movement of the shifter, lit the light and the case shifted into high.
