Default hi

dont know loads about cars, looking to get a land rover defender in good nick for a low price so i can do it up as a project until i can drive, obviously the 2.5 diesel is going to cost me to much so i'm wondering if you can drop a smaller engine in and it still be able to cope ?

You'll most likely be wanting to also look at some of the good UK based forums. This forum, while mostly North America, does have an international grouping as well. But not many Defenders over here (and we wish otherwise), mostly V-8 gas Discovery and Rangies.

That said, welcome, and enjoy the free download of the Rover shop manuals below, they are called the "RAVE".

And we have forum members who just bought their first vehicle, one lad was saving for it since he was 10 years old.
