Finally bought the Land Rover I've been wanting for a long time. Same 1970 Series IIA as I had way back in the 80's. Now getting it into shape to pass state inspection, and be roadworthy,
Funny story - my original Rover did not have overdrive, so I'm driving this new one and going like 38 miles per hour, and thinking, hmmm... slower than I remembered it. I get to the shop, and the guy says this has overdrive. I say"What?" And he says, "yeah, that green lever. For highway speed."
Well, now I'm really excited to get it back.
That was then... And this is now.
