Default Hi there

Quick hello, I'm new here and new to LR too. I got my 04 Disco 2 from an auction. It has 50k miles and appears to be in great shape.

Glad to join this forum.

Jacques

Welcome! great rover, hopefully at an equally great price! Do you plan to take her off the beaten path? Upload some pics, whats your location? there's probably a couple other rover owners out where ever you live.

Thanks Collin,
It's an 04 HSE DII. Scored it for 7k. I'm very exited and feel very welcome in this forum.

Since I moved to California (San Francisco) from Germany I felt I need a ride that goes a little further. My other car (92 Saab 900) limited me to mostly paved roads. It felt very adventurous traveling logging roads of Vancouver Island, BC or long beach access tracks of Baja Mexico. The car never let me down, but I would like to go further than I did so far. I hope my Disco will help me with that.

I'm a surfer, so for me it's all about getting to the spot and I like to travel to remote places, not a person that is looking to go into the woods to test wether I can traverse a mud hole. I don't mind that but I'd rather be on the water with a board.

I always had old cars, and this is by far the youngest with the least miles Saabs also have a bad reputation similar to LR but I always loved them and they have been good to me. I believe well engineered cars well maintained will get you a long way. Hope this will be true for the new ride:
only took one pic so far:

Now I'll take look at the Rave book.

She should get you to the undiscovered beaches! Keep us updated on what you do with her!
