Im a man with a DII since a week ago! Must say, i still drive with a smile on my face. Unfortunately i didnt find yet any place to get off-road.
About my self... Living in the Netherlands, 37 years, married, children- full option
Besides the DII i have 2 oldtimers Mercedes and a Nissan z31 300zx. In order is a new w212 merc, wich should be delivered around end of october.

Im more technician, so this would be it for now. If you have a question for me, dont hesitate!

 

Enjoy the free shop manual set, called the RAVE, at links below. Here in the US many D2 have a problem with front drive shaft not having enough grease fittings, and it can snap with almost no warning and spear hole in transmission. See our tech section for write up on rebuilding the shaft before that happens, can happen before 50,000 miles. I have a 93 W124 300TE wagon, which just passed 300,000 miles. They can live a long time. BTW, don't drive the Disco like the 300Z.

I downloaded RAVE but cant get it working. Dont know what im doing wrong.
I have seen the write up for rebuilding the front shaft. I will check this asap, after i fix the brakes and the engine noise/vibrate. Thank u for pointing it out once again.
Yes Merc's r great cars, the 200D is a w124 from 86, and the 300D is a w123 from 84. Both have airconditioning, leather, power windows, cruise control. Seems nothing unusual, but believe me in Europe is this a rare item, in each case for the w123.
The 300zx is a beauty with a lot of HP under the hood. Unfortunately it is the NA version and not with a turbo, but then again..it goes fast enough and handles the same. Altough the z31 is from 86 and the LR from 2000, it is no match on a sprint or while cornering on the road.

I truly like the LR feeling, i cant wait to get off-road. Still looking for a legal place to get dirty
