Been on for a few years now...this is my first post. Paid $2,800.00 for my first 2000 D2 two years ago (xwife drives it) like 93 octane is still $1.50:-/ she's clocked 27,000 miles in a little over 18 months.Traded a gocart for the second, 99' D2 cardon joint busted a hole in the tranny (broke it down for spares). My third is the 1996 SD. Picked it up for $700 from a Nigerian over in Sugarland, TX. Replaced the tranny for $400, $80 for all 4 o2 sensors and i drive it everywhere i go (without registration) havent come up with the funds yet. Which brings me to the reason for this post! Anybody needing minor or major service for there D1/D2 here in the Houston metro area, i would be happy to help you out (for cheap). Dont know much about RR and dont care to but, with the help of this forum, if thats what your stuck with, we can learn together. Other than money, eould be willing to barter for 8,000lb + winch, roof top tent, spare R380 transmission or just good company and a Coke (if thats all you have to offer) believe me when i say " i understand". Might drive to you if your on the east side but, dont want to take the chance of getting my sh#t inpounded by the "pigs" (HPD) so i stay out of there jurisdiction until i get legal. Let me know if i can help. Im out of work (so im available) 24/7 if its your only mode of transport. $25hr + lunch (if i skin a knuckle)

I'm a little further east than the Highlands, TX, but I'm working on D2's in my area for friends and anyone that has RRC/D1/D2 issues.

Coil Packs, wires, plugs, and a new upper intake gasket isn't a bad deal. 2-3HR tops, Rock Auto has the coil packs for a good price and you could get your wires, and spark plugs there as well. I like the STI Wires, but I've also installed the NGK wires without any issues. I also like the NGK Platinum or Iridium plugs.

 

Thank you for responding. Today I learned I also need an exhaust manifold on the passenger side as mine is cracked. This could not have come at a much worse time in life, financially speaking. I really appreciate all the advice / insight! TY!!
