Hi all...I bought a used Disco 97 off of this guy because the body has 117k and the engine supposedly has 29k on it...all he told me was that it has a miss in it that needs figured out...seemed like a nice guy...well I am driving it home and it is raining to beat the band...and like anyone with a car they are unfamiliar with I am raising and lowering the window...and now putting it up because it is raining so hard.....and it falls out of the track and I just got so worried....I thought I sure hope this is no indication of what I am in for. It is beautiful on the inside and the outside isn't bad going to need Maaco no problem but...I am not a mechanic but I don't mind learning....and I think there may be more than this guy was letting on but I only paid 2k for it and my wife is excited....I haven't started tinkering with it yet and I sure am trying not to have buyers remorse they seem to be awesome machines.

anyyway Im ranting....I live in cleveland but I was born a country boy and I am sure going to need this site.

 

Welcome to the forum! Head to the D1 area of the forum and do a search for your issues. You will find most have been resolved by others already.

cleveland ohio....I grew up in a little town called utica an hour east of columbus pretty much in the middle of a corn field. so I am currently an urbanite but I am a country boy.

 

I have had her 17 days now....I have driven her four times.
new plugs new wires
replaced ecm
changed the oil.
replaced a window regulator.
I am hooked though hehe pray for me
