Also, probbaly a good time to clean your MAF sensor and throttle body with a spray made for that purpose.

97 has electronic control of spark by ECU, no distributor. But plugs and wires are always needed, I guess becuase the engine runs hot and degrades the wires, and the interior engine design is basically a 60's Buick motor, bored out again and again until the engine metal is too thin...

The blue wires in there look pretty old, so I will change those out here soon..
40* this am, start it, and it idles at 1100, and drops to 700 pretty quick.
Interesting vehicle, I am thinking. LOL!
