Default howdy from Gresham, Oregon

Just bought my first rover about a month ago. 1999 Disco II. This first one will primarily be my wife's car but I hope to replace it with an '02 or '04 (preferrably '04) in the next year or so and commandeer this one for myself. Plans are under way to remove the running boards, add rear ladder and basket, then get it out into the great unknown.

Great site! Thanks!

Welcome and post pix of your progress on the conversion. To help you along, go to the Discovery 1 section of the forum, the technical section, and you will find lists of things to to do new-2-u Rovers, 60K service, etc.
Plus lots of ideas for conversions, workarounds, and repairs.

You can download a full set of factory manuals for free, it is called the RAVE, and is in the link below.

Change oil early and often, and make sure you NEVER approach high coolant temperature. When it gets above 9:00, start looking for things to cool it down.

Welcome fellow PNW-erner!

I recognize your screen name from the NWOS. That's a great site for camping and overlanding prep, if you have technical questions, this is the place to go.
