I joined the forum today. I have a 2001 Discovery II that I have owned since new. The car has been very solid for me and I am happy with it. I did get into a major collision during the first week of 2005, where driving conditions were bad (had been raining for several days) and I was driving along a steeply-sided canyon road. A boulder (about 3 feet across) tumbled down the hillside and rolled into the road at the exact same instant I got to the same spot. It caused over $11,000 worth of damage to the front end. Insurance covered it, and outside of that I've had no major problems.

I joined this forum because I have concerns about how I am being treated by a local LR repair shop that I haven't used before. Questions here!

I've read some of the posts and you seem to be a helpful bunch. I am happy to be here and hope I can contribute.
