Default jumping ship from Jeep to Land Rover

Hello I'm selling my Commander Overland and looking to get a LR3. What's everyone's opinion on a 2005 LR3 with 70k for around $15k? Are these as good as they look? I'm in SoCal and have been meaning to hit up a dealership but they don't have any LR3s just the LR4s to test drive. Also what should I be looking for as a major problem just in case? is the 2006 better?

Welcome. Shop and other manuals for the LR3 are a free download in my signature. For that kind of folding money spring for an inspection by indy mechanic. Also change your fluids at 50% of advised miles on the Rover maintenance list, or less. Don't change coolant at 150,000, etc. Time for tranny fluid change if it has not been done.

The 05, being the first year had issues, diffs, t/case and suspension/steering bushings.
If you plan on 4 wheeling this make sure you buy one with the H.D. option, which includes locking t/case and rear locker.
