Kentucky Rover
Good Evening All;
Brand new to the Land Rover Experience.
I've been tuning wrenches as a hobby for as long as I can remember and have alot of experience working on various BMW, Mercedes and Subaru.
This particular LR3 fell into my lap, I had always seen Land Rover as out of reach for the normal folks but as they say, one man's trash...
Anyway.
I've got a background in Electrical Engineering and IT; I try to get out and enjoy nature with my family as much as possible and plan to use this LR3 for some light overlanding and camping... once I get it going that is. Over on another auto forum I've joined they say "come for the information, stay for the friendships" and they were right, there are lots of helpful people and a great community that I have experienced and I look forward to learning more and hopefully building some of those bonds with folks over here.
Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself; time to go diving! Be safe everyone and pleased to meet you!

Hoping to shake down the LR3 this week; I’ve got some parts in the mail to button it up.
Got a few folks over that way?
I’m going to daily it why I tear down two X3SI to make one for a primary daily and then work on going over the rover to restore to its former glory and set it up for trails.
Nice! You are actually the first I've seen on the forum from KY.
I'd love to create some type of LR Club or setup a few weekend trips with folks. Let me know if you're interested in anything like that. Daniel Boone National Forest is a great area to adventure through and we head out to the western part of the state quite a bit. Keep me updated on your build. Had an '08 LR3 SE, loved that vehicle. Have since had an '11 LR4 and recently purchased a '17 Disco 5. All have been amazing vehicles and incredibly reliable.
