or if timing cover gasket failure is very popular on DII's, which it is.

I got it going leak free! It only took 18 days, but it was worth it. I replaced the gaskets and crank seal and timing chain. Then I got over ambitious before seeing if it worked and replaced a freeze plug or core plug. It was just barely seeping. I didn't know that until I took it out--a pint of fluid yet in there. It was really hard to get out of there and I suspect it was the easiest of them all. Just aft of the starter. Now I've driven this tho g and it shakes at 50mph...but it runs! Guess I'll rotate the tires and start there. Thanks y'all.
