Default Long Time Watcher - First Time Owner

Good motoring all. I have been reading the forums on this site for a few years now as I have been thinking about picking up an old Range or Discovery. I finally bought a 1998 Discovery last week so I figured it was a good time to join. This is a great wealth of information, and is it very good to still see activity and life on these older Rovers. I have a feeling I'll be needing some help with the usual electrical stuff.

I have obtained a 1998 Range Rover Discovery with just short of 200k. Much of the front and top of the motor have been recently replaced, and some of the lower front. Many of the original parts, while worn, are still looking good and strait. That said, I will be going through the wobble list of the Tech Section as I have a little bit of that when crossing from hard road to uneven surfaces while traveling at road speeds. From the underside, I am not sure if my Rover has ever seen much time off-road. Looking to change that soon.

I am in the Pacific Northwest (USA) near Seattle. I have owned a number of other British cars (mostly BMC) and I am familiar with many of their "traits" but this is indeed my first LR.

Thank you,
Cameron Minich
