Hello Y'all,

I was a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon disciple for nearly 20 years, but I totaled it last year. I'm wanting to go a different direction regarding my next adventure. Looking to learn more about Discovery II and Perenties. Buying a Perentie seems a little far fetched considering how much they sell for in the States or shipping from Oz. So, I'm probably going to have to settle on buying a Disco II and modding it out over time. Any suggestions or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome here Tuktuk. You could read a bunch of threads in the Disco 2 section of this forum to get a really good idea of what to expect. Very excellent vehicles with a few well known, easy to look after issues. If you’re a person who isn’t afraid to maintain his own vehicle you will love it. If you always have another mechanic maintain it, he needs to know Land Rovers fairly well.
