Hey - my name is Ed and I just picked up my 1999 Discovery Series II - it has 126000 miles and is as clean as they come.

I traded my Ford Escort ZX2 (that's right) and gave $500 cash (THAT'S RIGHT!!).

The only problem with the Disco is that the thermostat went and it blew a hose - so I swapped out both.... but - I am trying to get it so it will drive without the worry of overheating...

I will work on it this weekend but no matter what the problem turns out to be - a Disco II for $500 and my POS Escort?!?!?!? BTW: I know the guy who sold it to me so he gave me a sweet deal.

I am planning on driving it for the next few years and I know how to work on cars - but this one is a little overwhelming seeing that it is NOT and Escort!!

Glad to find you guys - let me know if there is anyone here around the Chicagoland area with a Disco II.

Yeah - he was..... but not for long after he sold it to me!!!
He is family and I help him around his garage quite a bit and he almost wanted to give it to me! But I told him that I couldn't and wanted to give him something.

It truly is a sweet, sweet ride!!
