Default My first Disco

Hello my name is Wil and I recently was shopping for a used SUV for my girlfriend and I and came across a great deal on my new 1999 Disco 2 which does need some love, but being a pretty good little shade tree mechanic I already am falling in love with the beast which is what my girlfriend is calling him. We live in Colorado and are very excited about the possibilities this vehicle has in store for us. I'm joining this group to offer my advice and experiences as I go along, but also for some help in turning the beast into all he can be. Thanks

Welcome Wil! I just got started a couple of months ago with a 2004 Disco. Unfortunately what started out as a "simple" head gasket fix turned into an engine rebuild! Good luck!

Default Thanks for talking

While I wholeheartedly appreciate hearing from you, I just want to say how crappy your experience sounds because believe me I'm hoping to not have to go through a rebuild for at least a year or two. Sorry for your troubles. Wil

Welcome to the forums, I'm a new disco 2 owner myself. I'm in the process on working on a few things myself, want to get all the quirks out (might be an oxymoron for a disco) then will really get to work modding.
