Default My first Used 2008 LR2 HSE

Hi All
I just got my very first land rover, 2008 LR2 HSE as a second car, for perhaps a bit of off-roading.
I like it. It looks great and ran great.
But it's already in the shop (West columbia Land Rover dealer in MD) for a dead
battery. But other than that the dealer told me everything looks great..

Never knew it costs $415 dollars to change a battery. This is more than my Porsche deader charges me for a porsche battery (around $260). But i understand i can't change the
battery on my own due to some software lock they initiate when the battery is low..
I would appreciate if anyone can recommend a great independent land rover shop in the area.

Can't wait to pick up my car at the dealer tonight..

Holy Cats! $415 for a new battery?!? Hmm.. that sounds a little outrageous to me. Were you able to find an independent mechanic? Just wanted to welcome you to the forum and suggest that you post up your question in the area specific to your vehicle (accessed by clicking on the forums button in the upper left hand corner of the page and then 'vehicle line-up'). I'd be interested in hearing what others have done for battery changes. That's just absurd.

Welcome to the forum again and good luck!
