Welcome, we will all benefit from your experience. If you don't have the RAVE in electronic form it is a free download, covers workshop, electrical, body interior and exterior, and owner's manuals. The technical section in the individual forums has lists of things needed for older high miles units. Do you get better mpg with the 96 or the 97 ?

SB,Thank you for the warm welcome. Yes I have the rave on all computers and visit it often. I've been taking my rovers to a great local mechanic , but I'm startIng to do more of my own work. Gas mileage seems to be a little better with the 96 over the 97 due to mostly the K&N filter installed. But in all reality they all drink gas. Always looking for ways to work on that. Thinking of a chip but my mechanic said I may start blowing sensors or setting them off if I do.
Have you heard of any fuel economic ideas? Thanks again

Welcome! 3 Rovers, man you have Roveritis BAD! (or is it 4 Rovers? Wasn't sure what the "OTW" is in your sig)

To your fuel questions, I have the Volo FS1 and saw some modest gains without compromising power. I have had no issues with it in over a year.

YLO, Thanks for the warm welcome. OTW is On the way, And yes I am a Roverholic , Not sure whats up with that but ever since I bought my first rover It's one of those things I love to hate. And I mean that with all good intentions. I still planning on getting a Defender either the 90 or 110, and a P38 and or LWB country. Put in the mean time these 3 Rvrs have kept me on my toes. And theres a story behind each one of them. Regarding the Volo FS1 I'm going to look into that. From what I've read about some of the other chips out there did you see a increase in power a little bit. I understand that they will add anywhere from 20 to 50 more HP ? Just wondering if you noticed that at all?
I have a great deal of respect for you guys on here that know your poop. I try to do more reading then posting due to I don't want to go over and over issues that are known with these Disco and there is plenty of info to review to solve a lot of them. Thanks again CK
