Hello everyone, I just recently bought a 02 Disco II Westminster a few days ago. I'M really excited about pickin her up for my move to Oklahoma here in the next few days. No real issues as it was very well taken care of with the previous owner. Lookin to do some minor upgrades and get her ready for camping / hunting trips. Any ideas on good setups or easy mods to start with?

 

Congrats on your new Disco. You should add some auxiliary lights. You can bolt them right on the bumper. These help a lot at night and definitely look the part. I have Hella 500s on mine and they only cost me $60 for the lights and wiring harness.

Also, if your truck has the stock cd player/radio combo, you can splice in an AUX cable for your phone/iPod. Relatively painless mod. I think there's thread on that.

This isn't a mod, but make sure that your truck has a new/rebuilt front drive shaft. These tend to fail. I never believed it until it happened to me just two weeks ago. It took me about an hour to install (only 8 bolts). I got a new one from Lucky8 LLC for $246.

@ DiscoCam thanks for the heads up on the front drive shaft issue and the Aux cable mod as well...I'll have to look that up.

The drive shaft and the AUX cable are definitely worth the effort.
