Hello I just got a 03 Land Rover Discovery II. I am in love with Land Rovers especially Discoveries. I am joining this forum to get information and help with any problems. I am in the process of setting my Disco for off road and camping. I am excited to be able to learn to be able to fix the problems my self and to come up and create new ideas for the my disco. Welcome. Download the shop manual set, called the RAVE. Look at our tech area, especially the write up on front propshaft rebuild. The stock shaft does not have enough grease fittings, and shaft can split without warning, taking out the tranny as well.

 

Welcome to the forums! I'm in the process of setting up my Disco for the same sort of stuff. Sort of like an overland expedition vehicle. I'd be interested to see what you're thinking of doing. I've got plenty of ideas too.

Also, on a maintenance note, I would look at getting an UltraGauge:

Thanks for the tips. Right now I am in the works of building a front bumper with a light bar and at some point a winch. My next is to build a roof rack.
