Default New Disco owner

Hey guys! I joined back in May 2012 while i was looking at prospective Discos. Now that I finally purchased one, I figure I should introduce myself. I'm from snowy Northern Wisconsin. I don't see a whole lot of Land Rovers around here. This would be my second vehicle, so I could take my time with repairs/modifications if needed. I wanted something that would be somewhat of a hobby vehicle that I could work on for fun. Something that was fairly capable off-road. What better than a Land Rover?

I ended up buying a Black 2001 SE with 100,500 mi on the clock. I'm the fourth owner. It came with some issues. The three amigos were on plus their fourth amigo buddy ("brake" light). I fixed that already with a new relay in the fuse box. Also a cracked front windshield that I replaced. Now I'm working on a drive shaft rebuild (both front and rear). And the front bumper has some cracks in it.

Greetings and welcome to the forum Francopacks. Lots of great guys and gals on here with a wealth of infomation. Try using the search button if you have a problem as you wont be the first or the last to have a problem and it's probably already been asked. Looks like you are going about things the right way by doing the 60k list and the drive shafts. An ultra gauge em is an excellant buy and a valuble tool to have. Embrace the joy and frustration that comes with owning a Land Rover.

Thanks for the welcome. So far I'm enjoying it. We'll see how I feel in 6 months.
