Default New Disco owner out of Ft. Bragg,NC

Just wanted to introduce myself. First time Disco owner. Managed to get myself a D2. So far I am loving it and have alot of plans for the future for my rig. Currently based out of Ft. Bragg, NC. Hoping to hopefully meet some local guys from the surrounding area if there are any on here. I will be doing alot of researching and question asking for sure.

P.S. FYI also looking to trade my A-bar bumper w/ warn winch for a ARB or all steel bumper setup.

Welcome. Be sure to check out the RAVE, the factory shop manual set, free download. Front prop shaft, if original, will have sealed u-joints on one end. When they dry out, the shaft can split and poke hole in tranny. Rebuild write up in our tech area. Watch temps, the factory heat gauge is programmed to stay at 50% from 130 - 240 ish. A scanner or Ultra Gauge can show you exact temps.

Welcome. Here is a link for something you need to do in April. Hope to see you there, lots of stock rover trails and lots of good folks to learn from as well.

Also, there are rover guys in Wilmington, Goldsboro, Smithfield, Clayton, and Raleigh. Many will be making the trip to the Uwharrie Safari in April.

Thanks for the info. Didn't know about the prop shaft issue. But I am tracking the temp issue. Planning on using OBD2 scanner setup.

Look me up, I will be in the camping trailer by the bath house with the grand kids. The LR event is in the group camp area. Let me know if you need some more detailed directions to get to the camp site area, and I think I have some detailed notes to get you to the correct spot in the Uwharrie National Forest. You do not want to waste your day trying to find your way around on the roads in the forest area
