I just done a good deal on a new discovery and I'm going to pick it up this week. Anything I should look for when I do?

Depends on age and model of Disco, basically, check all the electrics, make sure everything works, check the boot area for rust as this is the place they seem to rust first, and also check the chassis.

Engine wise, it is the normal checks you would do on any engine.
