New Discovery Owner
Hi all. My wife and I just bought a 2002 Discovery II. We have some parts that we need to find and in my search I found this site. I hope to find some great info and eventually contribute to the discussions.

Welcome. Start with looking in our tech section https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...section-32402/ at the high miles service list, oil questions, and rebuild propshaft write up.
Download the whole set of factory tech and owner manuals, called the RAVE, link below.
Inspect or have inspected the front drive shaft, the factory version does not have enough grease fittings, when it snaps with almost no warning it can poke a big hole in the transmission ($7000 at dealer), $100 parts to rebuild.
Do not trust the heat gauge above mid point. It can be very hot and you will think it is OK. Look at an Ultra Guage to give you accurate temp information, and also read and reset trouble codes. UltraGauge Automotive Information Center and OBDII Scan Tool
As you have already "Discovered" it is not your grand dad's Buick. They have their quirks and warts, but these trucks are addictive.
