New Discovery owner in NJ
Hi all - Just wanted to officially check-in as a new Discovery owner. I've been a member for a few months soaking up all the great info on this site. In early Feb I finally pulled the trigger on a clean 2003 SE7 with 133K miles.
Truck has a couple of drips but runs well. During first week it wouldn't start and threw a code for Crank Sensor. I changed that out in my driveway, cleared the code and it has been fine since.
I also added an Ultra-Gauge and temps stay in 194-208 range. I ordered a warm-weather stat (the grey LR part) from Lucky 8 and will be installing it this weekend along with Peak 50/50 mix.
Front drive shaft is quiet for now but I plan to upgrade it to soon.
It does need tires. I am thinking of going with Cooper Discoverer HT Plus in 265/60-18 size. I've checked clearance and it looks like plenty of room for the extra inch or so compared to the 255/55-18 stockers.
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and how helpful this site has been already.
