Hello everyone,

im looking to buy a used discovery but I’m not sure which one to go for. I’ve done research and I have heard the LR3 and LR4 and both good models. However I was wondering if one had a better reliability history than the other. I understand when buying a Rover you’ll have to do some work on it but I figured I should at least try to find a model year that has a better reputation for holding up. Any thoughts?

Just spec'd out and ordered a new 2022 Defender X 90. The wait begins...

 

Don't believe you'll find considerable differences between the two, reliability wise. They'll both have their own set of known issues. Go to each of the forums for each model and just read, you'll quickly find the info you're looking for. If it's an issue, members here have sen it, dealt with it and documented repairs.
