I am a new member currently living in the beautiful north Georgia mountains. I do not currently own a Discovery, but will be buying one in the not to distant future. I am interested in the II series and was hoping members could give me tips on the better year and things to watch out for. I have been told the 2004 model is the best of the Discovery II series. I would not rule out a newer model, but need something I can maintain myself, like my W124 benz and late 90's Chevy suburban. The sub being much easier to work on.

I myself have a 2004 and I can vouch for it being the best of the II series as far as performance and in my personal opinion, looks.
