Default New Guy, not so new Discovery

Hey all,

Not new to Land Rover, but new to the Discovery 2. Just picked up a 2002 Disco 2 for $900 from an older gentleman. Never been offroad, never been shifted into 4lo. it was well maintained, but he told me that it's starting to have too many leaks and he just doesn't have time to maintain it anymore. Told him my son and I were looking for a project to do together so he let me take it off his hands. This is my second Land Rover. I had a 2006 Range Rover Sport which I loved, just didn't have that much room at the time. I've always liked the Discovery's look. I just couldn't pass up on this one. Looking to raise it up tad bit and make it an overlanding beast for my son and I to go explore. Looking forward to picking up some insight and pointers from you all.

Welcome. Looks like a solid base for a father son project. Good find! 👍🏻
