Hey everyone!
Just wanted to say hello, as I just today purchased a '99 Discovery 1. I have wanted one for years and am really excited to finally have one. I have some mechanical experience with Saab's, Porsche's, and VW's but nothing on the LR side of things. So I will probably be an annoyance to everyone with my constant questions. Anyways, see you all around!

Welcome. Be sure to download the factory set of shop manuals, called the RAVE, free downloads links below. Plug in your scanner to see real temps on the OBDII port, the factory gauge will show 9:00 at high end of normal, and maybe 9:30 at 235F. I run a 180F stat and keep my D1 temps around 183-185.

Awesome, thank you! I am currently rebuilding the trans in her, I actually found it on the forums local to me. Looks like a clutch A failure...If anyone is local to dallas a hand would be much appreciated and beer will be included!
Also, SavannahBuzz, did you go to Georgia Tech? My entire family has gone there!
