Cool New to Land Rover community

Just bought my first Land Rover Discovery Series II 1999. I loved the look and the style but have always heard horror stories about these vehicles and was told to stay far away. Well I clearly didn't listen and I brought home my DII last week. So far Im trouble shooting the brake lights since they are not working but the bulbs are good, the rear window motor is broken as well and I seem to have an oil leak and the odometer is flashing 129,000. . The car was not well maintained and I seem to missing some relay switched too. This will be a project car and Im happy to explore these forums and find solutions to get this SUV out on the trails as a second vehicle. I recently bought new oil filer, air filer, brake light switch, wires, plugs and starting my tune up this Friday. Hopefully that is all I will need for now.

Hello, I'm new to the Land Rover Community. I own a 2000 Disco2 and trying to find which motor build I have, Bosch or the other (is it BMW???? I really don't know that the other is). Is there a way to tell which motor I have or which thread I can find that in? Thank you
