New Land Rover owner
I purchased my 2011 Land Rover LR2 just about four months ago and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I have had to put a little money into it since buying it but this is the nicest and newest car I've ever owned.
My LR2 is the dark green version so I've named her Jade (and yes, I talk to her all the time). I have had the bottom wheel bearing assembly replaced, four brand new all season tires and now she needs front brakes and rotors. I also have about $50 worth of bedazzled rhinestones all over the inside of her.
About a month ago I decided to move to Florida from Ohio with only what would fit inside my car. I was actually shocked at just how much I was able to get shoved in there. I am also surprised that almost every mechanic I've contacted in Florida knows how to work on land rovers. Because while in Ohio, I took her in for an oil change and was told by the shop that they couldn't do it because they would have to remove the top part of the engine.
Even after almost four months with Jade, I'm still finding new things about this model that I didn't see in the manual I received with her. Like the button on the end of the turn signal controlling what information I see on the dash. I still haven't messed with the different options for the drive options. I'm a little hesitant because I don't know what all of them do.
Anyway, that's just a little about me and Jade. Thanks for allowing me access to your forum and I look forward to using it for information about issues that may pop up eventually.
