Hi all! My name is Jason and my wife, Emily, and I love off roading. We used to have a 5th gen 4Runner that we took a lot of places but sold it when we decided to travel the country in a 5th wheel. Back in February 2024 we decided to stop traveling when we found out we had a future off-roader on the way. We found a great deal on a 2013 LR4 Lux in Phoenix (low range, no HD) with tight timing chains, that we plan to build up as our travel and offroad rig. Since we bought the rig, I have done the coolant pipes + everything else you do under there, all new airbags, removed the 3rd row, and upgraded the 20" stock wheels with an almost brand-new set of stock Defender 18" steelies and Goodyear Adventure tires. K03's are on my list maybe 2026 or sooner if the Goodyear's don't last. I would like to add rock rails, SYA off-road lift and winch so piece of mind this summer. Based on what I hear online, am also planning to cut out the mid-muffler to give it a better sound without being obnoxiously loud. We live in Durango so if anyone is located there, let me know. MOAB is high on our list of places to get out to a lot this summer.
