Hello there!
I have already been posting and doing a lot of reading as well as getting advice. Just to let everyone know I traded for this, I had a sand rail. Still think I can get more out of this if I need to sell it.
Picture of the disco now minus front guard due to it being rusted so bad (here)
Well I have a great running disco with 208,000 miles. All the electrical works including both sunroofs all seats, windows, locks, even the heated seats. The engine runs smooth with a one or two drop leak per drive. And really no other known major mechanical issues
The bad:
Rust, rust and more rust

-this does not include the rust on the front post and firewall (I was to embarrassed to take pictures of it) to give you an idea I can see the tire and ground from a bunch of angle on the passenger side.
-pulled all the carpet out because it smelled like cat pee
What I've done so far:
1) Tear all carpet and inside panels off
2) started treating rust from front doors back.
3) got the diff lock unlocked from years of non-usage
Questions for everyone:
1) Should I keep it or sell for what I can get for it, to then buy another one in better condition without as much rust?
2) Since I traded keep it and beat the heck out of it having fun, or will I be at risk of issues due to rust?
3) Bottom line the little I have had it I have learned a lot, love working on it (being a teacher I have time in the summer) just worried I made a bad decision trading for it due to rust?
Help me out and thanks for looking
Josh
