Well I picked up my first Land Rover yesterday, a 2006 LR3 HSE. My Dad and I drove just over 5 hours each way to pick it up and drove it home.
I am excited with the new addition to our garage, but did come across a few gremlins already on the way home, one of which is the sunroof drain tube leaks. It was minus 15 degrees Celsius yesterday when I picked it up, so when I felt the floors/carpet everything seemed fine and dry. About 3 hours into the drive home I reached down and felt the carpet and sure enough it was soaking wet after thawing one the warm vehicle on the way home. This morning I checked the drain behind the vent on the passenger side and sure enough it was deteriorated and draining into the cab of the vehicle. Glad I found the culprit, but I now have my work cut out for me in wet carpet cleanup and drying.
I look forward to posting more and gaining more knowledge as my adventure continues with this LR3.
Cheers!
Jon
