Hey folks! Thanks for having such a great and knowledgable community. I have dreamed of owning a Rover for years and just recent bought a used one. It's an 04 DII and It needs a little TLC but is in extremely good shape. I have been planning a small 4-5 day overlanding trip across the Georgia Traverse this summer and have plans for a small 2" lift, bigger tires (Around 32 -33"), axle shaft upgrades, front and rear bumpers and a winch and lights, as well as some recovery, radio and gps gear. I have about 8 months to accomplish this.

I live near Atlanta in a little town called Stockbridge ga. It's a very low key, quiet town. About the fanciest store we have here is the Wal-Mart. For anything fancier we just drive to a nearby city or Atlanta itself. I live about 15 minutes from Atlanta Motor Speedway so it's nice to hear the cars running laps during the warmer months.I was a mechanic for several years until I got the job I have now, but im no stranger to electronics, engines, etc. I was born and will die with dirty hands and garage full of random parts.

I have been into offroad and search and rescue since i was a young teenager. I have always wanted a land rover and to set it up for mild wheeling/trail riding. Im more into long trail rides/overland type things than going out and tearing up my vehicle by burying it in the mud. I love hiking/backpacking and fly fishing as well. I do cyber crimes for a local police department, so I'm also a big nerd. I built our drones and bomb robot for our swat team and just recently built a gps controlled moving target for our shooting range.
