Hello everyone, I've been lurking this (and several other) forums for a while now and decided I liked the atmosphere and information here more.
Anyway, I have a 96 Disco with 265,xxx miles. Snagged it about a year ago for $1500 it already had a rock ware front bumper, some rock sliders, all skid plates, and some OME spring with bilstiens. I just replaced the shocks and springs today with a terrafirm 2+ kit medium load as my passenger side bilstein decided it wanted to strip all theads at the top mount...idk how or when it happened but it was long enough ago that my drivers side shock was blown as well(im guessing from the added stress). Recently did plugs and wires which has helped the truck madly turns out number 6 cyc wire was seperated from the connector and causing the misfire codes and CEL.
Well thanks for all the information I've gotten from you guys already and the future help I'm sure to get.

Matt

Thanks Dusty, c'mon now its a landy, once one kink gets worked out you find another. Most rover owners I know have to love them like a child otherwise they would rip their hair out. I have a lot of junk to deal with and hate the "its a land rover so its gonna leak" mentality...I have a load of leaks to sort once I degrease the engine bay/undercarriage. The POs used it strictly as a trail rig and rode her hard and put her away wet (quite literally)

nice...I find the leaks an easy task to fix, if you go one at a time. common sense but, start high, valve cover gaskets...and work down to the pans. no chance for mistaken id, that way.
btw, sure you know more than me, but I often see good stuff offered from british 4x4 centre, in San Antonio.. your neck o' woods

Yeah that's been my mindset in the leaks issue just never stateside long enough to buckle down and do it. As of lately it's been rather cold and windy and my south Tx blood doesn't enjoy that much. I guess what ever excuse I can find. As far as British,That shop happens to be owned by my friend's father. Great group of guys there and good used parts. They're planning a trip to hidden falls adventure park ( the trails park if you've never heard if it) in Marble Falls sometime in Feb if you happen to have a chance or desire to go let me know and I'll keep you posted.

Very cool. For sure interested. Never checked out marble falls, please keep me posted if you think about it. I'm in Montana for one week in feb, maybe it will not coincide.
