Hi I'm Bob. My wife and I are the proud owners of a 1998 Discovery 1. Just picked it up last week. It has almost 170k. It needs lots of #TLC. We're starting with the dreaded #lowoilpressurelight. We've been reading and researching a ton. It has 25psi at 2500rpms at operating temp and 9psi at idle. We've started with a little #MMO then we are changing the oil and filter. Going with Rotella T 15W-40. We'll see how it goes.

Welcome to the board. Looks pretty clean, hope you get the low oil pressure figured out, inexpensively.

Brian.

We just ran MMO in the old oil then changed the oil to Rotella 15W-40 and used a K&N filter. Seems quieter but still has lifter noise. There's no water in the oil which is good and it's not overheating. We have to get a oil pressure gauge to see we here we're at now. The adventure begins
