Talking New Member Intro - Disco Inferno

Hi All

Just wanted to say hello to all, no my Disco is not on fire, except when I'm sat behind the wheel.

It's a 2017 Discovery 5 Diesel in green, picture below. No proper mods yet, but looking for better off road tires (currently have the standard OEM) sat on 20" alloys. Would like to drop a size or two (19" or 18") if anyone knows if that is possible? And would like to get some extra lighting and some recovery equipment such as a winch. I've already had dashcam fitted front and rear (BlackVue DR750S-2CH) and also installed a Radar Dector which is useless as the GPS doesn't get a fix through the windscreen! - coming to a Craigslist near me soon.

I've joined the local B.C. Land Rover group and been on a couple of their meetups.

This is my first Land Rover, but as I hailed from UK not my first Rover

If you have any questions about the new (ish) car let me know and I'm particularly interested in discussing upgrades / mods done by other owners. Not looking to go mad, but sensible upgrades as mentioned above to enhance the off road excursions.

18's so far are a no go and there is less options for tires in 19 than there Are in 20.

The guys at Lucky8 have a hidden winch mount, light mounts and lift kits .Just have to give them a call

I'm already in contact with them about the hidden winch. Thanks for the info on the wheel sizing. I did a search for 19" off road tires and was thinking the same thing. Good to know 18" won't work. I'll post some upgrade photos in the other feed once I actually do something worthy.

There is a surprising amount of options in the 20" tires
