Names bryan and Im from Maryland. Im looking to buy a 04' disco 2 but I hear they are one of the worst years to get. The current owner has done all the maint. himself, and says its great running. Unfortunately I dont live near the truck so I cant see it for myself.

A little background on myself. Im 22, full time college student/work full time. I currently own a sc400 1jzgte big single turbo, its my third sc300/400. Iv always been around cars since the age of 10 and my brother-in-law has taught me everything I know. Being so, I've personally done motorswaps, transmissions conversions/pulls, tuned numerous cars, as well as custom wiring for standalone ecu's and piggybacks. No, my parents have NOT helped me pay for any of these, nor school which is why I work full time. (partially the reason why im looking for a new car, I work to much and have little time to work on my current money pit). I have plenty of feedback on other sites such as supraforums, clublexus, zilvia, and vadriven as well as ebay incase I decide to buy something off here as well (all under usernames bryan767 or enot767)

Anyway, what brings me here today is my question. I'm looking to buy a new car.. and for some reason I keep having visions of me cruising around in this disco II. Im just worried about getting myself in to deep.. Clearly I've proven that I can maintain and work on cars due to my past projects. Anyway, heres the ad for the Disco in question:

Iv talked him down to 5.5k but im still concerned that the headgasket might pop soon, Ill be doing more research after i post this but until then, thanks for reading!
