New/old Disco II's
After many years of procrastinating and longing for a Rover, we jumped in both feet and picked up TWO Disco II's from family who were in over their heads with them.
One is better/less rusty than the other and they both need all the standard deferred maintenance - 02 sensors, purge valves, brakes all around, three amigo fixes, etc...
The VINs are:They both look fantastic, run and drive. #1 "Salty" has terrible rear frame rust that will require some major restoration work to correct. Otherwise, a very solid ride.
#2 will is in the garage now for three amigos fix, brakes, tune up, and other minor upgrades, maintenance and repairs.
I am currently swapping a broken right front wheel sensor, diagnosing P1590, and working on getting my code reader to access the ABS ECU, which it cannot.
I have enjoyed the forum so far and appreciate all the shared knowledge and experience of you hard core Rover peeps. l look forward to getting to know some of you and learn from all your collective wisdom.
Cheers from Maine!
