Default New owner of a '98 Disco I in Colorado

Well, took the plunge and we are now proud owners of a Beluga Black 98 Disco, with only 66k on it. All stock equipment as far as I know.

This will get used mostly for weekend trips exploring all the fire roads and trails around here. Really like the Discovery as having the space for a family four and solid off-road performance.

Thanks to all the advice here. Starting on the laundry list of small (hopefully) leaks.

So far:
New battery
Serpentine
Air filter
Bearings tightened
Cleaned off the engine to start seeing what's leaking!

But starts, runs steady, drives straight, diff lock engages smoothly.

Low mileage for a '98.
Welcome.

Yeah, was attractive part of the package.

Although I think I am finding out that it means that a lot of stuff you might expect/hope to have been replaced on a 98, has not been yet!

But looking beyond leaks, it seems to have been very lightly used.
