Default NEWBIE!

Hey!! I just purchased a 1999 Land Rover Discovery!! I am soo excited! I do have a few questions though. I bought it from a dealer who owned it previously, it was in excellent condition and i got it for a great price! My questions: He just had a ton of work done to keep it up and he said to call for the service records. HOw do I go about doing this?? Do i need anything special? Also I need to buy an owners manual LR wants $45.00 know of any that are cheaper?

Try eBay for the Manual. I've bought lots of auto literature there. You can probably find a Dicso manual on CD there too

Well,
the owners manual is not the greatest source of information for repairs, but maybe for operational stuff its OK, having sat and read mine today. However I have seen the Haynes (any comments from others?) manual for about 30 bucks....which may help. If you want the bible, thats the Bentley. I have yet to see the LR one, but the Triumph one helped me tear that car to nuts and bolts and put it back together again. So I guess it depends what you want from it. I would be curious to know what the best repair manual is as well. If you find out this, as well as the owners....let me know.
Regards
Ed
