Hi y'all,

I just recently acquired a 2000 D II in pretty nice shape (VA Inspected, no "engine" lights or "ABS" lights, rear door actually works, not too many missing pieces, and runs SHWEET!)

I'll be upgrading a few things as budget allows, but will thoroughly "shakedown" the stock vehicle for now. I bought this D II to pull my boat and for the occasional off-road excursion, and the once every few years snowfall, like we just had over the 2009 Christmas Holiday.

I realize that my Disco will require alot of handson attention to get to where it is reliable; and I also realize that alot of maintenance will be required to keep it reliable. I'm prepared for that.

My first question is, "Where to start for general assessment of overall mechanical condition?"

My second question is more of an opinion poll: "Given all the mods that are available for the D II, I have chosen a few as "priorities", and was wondering in which order "you" would purchase / install them? They are (in no particular order)
* Center Diff Lock Actuator
* 2" lift kit
* 245 x 75 R16 General Grabber AT2's

I look forward to gathering a lot of good intel from this site, and hope that I can, in some small way, contribute as well.

Regards,
Cal
