Hey, going to get a very high mileage 98 Disco 1 today. It has 260k! Maintained pretty good. Drives nice and quiet. It still has it original Shocks that make is seem like driving a piece of Jello. First is figure out front window problems, hope it just the tabs and then go from there. My wife has alway want one and it is her decision on this. Price is right $1k. Good starter Disco.
I am into VW busses, VW thing, SteryPuch Haflinger, had a Pinzgauer at one time. Boston Whaler project in yard as well as our nice 61 Westfalia Camper trailer. Looks like a nice site so please bear with me, I already have the manual and have been looking at it intently.

Welcome. Head over to the tech section under the D1 part of the forum, lots of DIY how to's, high miles service lists, etc. Windows like to be plastic wheels broken (regulators), motors burned out, fuses, switches, and the window control module can have a cracked circuit board. Good electrical manual in that manual download as well.

Thanks, seems like a great forum. Previous owner said the guides so I hope it is just tabs. They disabled both window. I will just have to dig in each door and see what is up. Should be fun!

Use upholstery removal tools or a wide putty knife, gently, the fasteners are push in plastic things, and the head of the fastener is anchored in the door panel which is plastic foam, grandma could rip it apart. Do passenger door first so you can drive for parts....

best regards.
