Newbie sayin Howdy
Hey gang,
I am Dave from Arkansas USA. I have been looking for a Rover for over three years now but I was patient and I think I found a good deal for this area. It's a 2000 Disco II and almost everything works.
I drive 1.5 miles to work every day and I lauch my boat every weekend at what the locals call a boat ramp. This ramp is very primative and I previously used a straight axle 80s Toyota which could handle the launch easily. This Rover holds it's own and the kids aren't embarrassed to be dropped off at school in it.
I am a 7/10 mechanically but this is a new style of truck for me and I will have to learn about it and tool up accordingly.
My first order of buisness is this idler arm that is loud. This serpintine belt is intimidating to say the least.
The air bags are shot in the rear and I have enough money and have read enough to want to make the conversion but I could use some more research for the best deal, ride and lift.
I am showing the "three amigos" as you all say.
Anyways, glad to be be here, glad I don't own a Toyota anymore and thanks in advance for your help.
