Now then,
Hope you're all well.
After a long stint away from a daily Land Rover (many bikes/ projects + toys took over) i'm back in a 2003 disco 2.
The reason is i've been chasing something, though for a while i'm not sure what, now i've come to the realistaion i want to get 'lost'.
So i have a plan to do just that.

I'm building the D2 - though have just found out it need a new transfer box as it has no CDL nipple on it - to set off on several overland trips eventually leading in a Leeds (UK) to Sydney (AUS) via Russia, Mongolia and China.
I plan to start off on day trips around the dales/ moors and peak district leading to longer trips with two stints to Europe planned for next year - kind of thinking Morrocco might need to be one of those, but at the same point the Alps and Pyrenees are just as appealing.

I don't plan to do too much to the landy, i guess the usual:
EGR blank
Winch (hidden behind stock bumper)
Roof Rack + tent
Possibly lift it
Second battery and split charger
Usable storage etc.
Car is a 2003 with 101000 miles on it, came with service history from a main dealer, going back to 2010.
just want to get out now and test it!!

I'll start scouring the forum for tips when planning an overland trip.

All the best
