Default Poking head up.....

Hi everyone! New member instructions mandated introduction. My name is Jay Leach, but all my dirtbike friends just call me "the moron". I flew to San Antonio, TX for a work project from Mountain Home, Arkansas. While I was down here I happened across a '96 Disco for sale and fell in love. I called my wife and said "it followed me back to the hotel, can I keep it?". So as of 8pm tonight I'm the proud new owner. It has it's share of little problems as any 'teen adolecent w/ 165k miles, but it's running fine. Now, I just have to cancel my return flight and baby it back to the Ozarks in northern Arkansas where I can start the "spend way more money than what it's worth" process on it. What can I say....I'm a sucker for a stray dog with sad eyes. Looking forward to getting to know 'yall as I'm sure I'll need to pick a few brains on here. God Bless, Jay.

P.S.- My occupation and most of my background is in electrical/ electronics, so if I can help......
I don't know anything (yet) about Landrovers, but protons and neutrons are "brand insensitive" so I'll be happy to help where I can.

Well, it's good to know you're going into the thing with the proper attitude, guy. :-)

And as for your latter assertion, your truck's a Discovery I, with electricals by Lucas (, God Of Darkness), so you'll get the opportunity to see whether that's really true or not.

Welcome aboard.

PS: Great choice of name. :-)
