Default Proud new D2 owner in Pa!

Hey hey everyone! I've always wanted a Discovery and finally got one a few short weeks ago. A 99 D2 with 118,000 miles!!! It has been sitting for 2 years because they had issues with it holding a charge so they sold it to me for $800. After reading the tons of post on here...I purchased a new battery, no luck, an alternator, no luck...finally went to Autozone and the girl that helped me out said..."try a new 150amp alternator fuse" (I thought it was good since it showed 12v on one side and 14v on the other...which it should've said 14.Xv on both sides. BAM!!! Finally it was charging!!!! I then took it for a spin and it rides like a champ! I've changed the oil, tightened up the valve cover bolts (they were really loose), replaced fuse behind radio (radio wasn't working, but is now). Replaced a relay for the rear power windows...all is well! Next is maybe coolant flush and/or tranny fluid change.

Oh yeah...picked up a set of 5 18s wheels/tires plus an extra 5 tires!!!! Also just did the D1 wiper arms swap and loaded them up with 21" blades. The passenger side seemed to be about 1/4" too long, so I may drop an inch on the passenger side.

Also, I'm not sure what color it is...I think it's Niagara Gray.

Welcome to the LR family. Nice pickup, especially for $800.

Thanks! The sellers only used it during the winter months...and when it started having charging issues, they just let it sit for a couple years. And a $5 150amp fuse cured it!

Thanks! :-) I'll have to upload a few pics with the 18" wheel/tire combo.
